Reiki is an alternative therapy practice that originated in Japan and focuses on clearing our chakras. Although Reiki is of Japanese origin, the concept of chakras themselves, originated in India. Within us are seven chakras; the Crown, Third Eye, Throat, Heart, Solar Plexus, Sacral, and Root. They are wheels of energy that are connected to our emotions and physical body.
